If you happen to be from the Rome area looking at this blog-site, well we have a treat for you. A new shopping and eating destination is about to be under construction on the corner of Turner McCall Blvd and North Fifth Avenue in Rome, Georgia. Several restaurants have just been announced to fill part of the new shopping center. La Parilla, Jimmy Johns, and a Japanese Steak House are all in the works. Publix will anchor the shopping center with a 54,000 square foot store and many other smaller retailers will soon join in. The land has been sitting empty for a number of years with the sign saying coming soon. Hopefully by Thanksgiving of 2013 the shopping center will be open. Click this for more details on the area and pictures.
