2015 is off to a finger lickin’ start as far as retail openings go. January will see the opening of a new food chain as well as a new national retailer for the Hwy 5 corridor. The first is Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, a national Texas style barbecue chain slated to open on Thurs January 8 according to their Facebook page. The new location will be in the Cosby Station Shopping center right next to Publix. The other opening this month will be Pet Supermarket, which will take over the former Blockbuster spot in the Market Square Center in front of Arbor Station. As of now, no official opening date is set, but the store looks to be almost finished. We will keep you posted when we receive an opening date for those pet lovers eager for another place to pamper your pet.
***UPDATE: Per Dickey’s Douglasville Facebook page, the opening has been pushed back slightly. The opening will now take place on January 15.
