Villa Rica Elementary 5th ​Grade Quest Students Win First Place and Perform at No Place for Hate Awards Ceremony

(Carrollton, Ga. ­ May 15, 2015) Fifth Grade Quest students from Villa Rica Elementary School assembled a No Place for Hate Team to promote kindness and prevent bullying. Their original work, the W​e Are One project, won First Place in the Elementary School Media Category of the Anti­Defamation League’s No Place for Hate: Imagine a World Without Hate Contest.

There were over 700 entries representing schools from across the Southeast Region. These students performed once again at the No Place for Hate Awards Ceremony at the Kennesaw State University Museum for History and Holocaust Education on Sunday, April 26th.

Six-time STAR teacher, Alice taught Advanced Placement English, literature, composition, speech and theater for over twenty years, part of which time she also served as Director of Admissions, Development, Public Relations, and Alumni at Oak Mountain Academy.
