Chapel Hill Rd Culvert Project Nears Completion

The Chapel Hill Rd Culvert project by WSA is almost complete

In April we gave you an update on a project on Chapel Hill Rd to rebuild the culvert underneath the road. Yesterday we took a drive to see the progress and to our delight (and I’m sure folks who commute everyday on Chapel Hill Rd) the project is nearly complete. All that seems left is to stipe the lanes and some last minute dirt moving. Noticing the specifics of the new construction, the WSA seems to have left plenty of room on both sides of the project for future lane expansion should Douglas County ever decide to widen Chapel Hill Rd, as well as give it an aesthetically pleasing new bridge over Anneewakee Creek. Also noted is the construction seems to have nearly finished ahead of schedule. A welcome pace for residents and commuters of that side of the city and county.
