***Major Update 9/28: As it turns out, FYE and Arbor Place saw our story and reached out to us about the exciting grand opening events coming up shortly. The store will have a “soft opening” on Friday October 9th, and the grand opening celebration will be Friday October 16th. Represenatives will be on hand to showcase the new store design and help customers with the new interactive features of the FYE brand. The Douglasville Menu as well as the general public has been invited to attend, and we hope to see you there. The Press release is below.
***Original Story: A quick update on a late summer story. Back in August we were the first to break the story that FYE was looking to reopen at Arbor Place after closing their top floor location in 2013 where Books A Million! now occupies. At the time we were waiting for confirmation from FYE or Arbor Place about the new store. We never got any confirmation back from either one, we were relying on only construction leads that were telling us that the store was coming. Today, we saw the confirmation we were waiting for. FYE is now under construction again at Arbor Place Mall. The new store will be located on the 1st floor next to Fashion To Figure. The new store will be much more compact than the last location, but this seems to be the new business model FYE is taking since downscaling their company back in 2012-2013. The new store will be just shy of 4,000 sq/ft versus their last location that was over 10,000. The new location should be open just in time for the holidays. Keep it here and we will let you know the progress and when they open.
