Update 11/22: Shoe Show is now open, head there now for some gift ideas for this black friday!
We got word from the city of Douglasville Building report that a new store was set to open at the last spot available at Douglasville Crossroads. This is the Walmart/Sam’s Club shopping center on Concourse Pkwy. We went by today to see if any progress was being made, and behold. Shoe Show will be opening very shortly, likely in time for Black Friday. The new sign was being put up and shelving was already in place in the store. All it needed was product and workers. What is Shoe Show? They are owned by the company that owns Shoe Dept at Arbor Place and sell name brand shoes. They already have a location in Villa Rica next to their Walmart. This spot they are taking was formally occupied some years ago by Famous Footwear. At Shoe Show you can get your favorite brands such as Nike, Adidas, Reebok, and New Balance and plenty more. This will give Academy Sports up the road a little competition. Again, the store is likely to be ready for Black Friday sales, but if anything changes we will tell you here.
