(Carrollton, Ga. – November 17, 2015) Two Providence Elementary students were recently recognized by the Georgia Poetry Society for poems they wrote last year. Brooke Williams won 2nd place in the Georgia Poetry Society’s Margery Carlson Poetry Contest and Kailyn Strickland was 1st Honorable Mention. The Georgia Poetry Society just released a book entitled The Reach of Song in which their poems were published. Dr. Phillips and Mrs. Price presented these students with their published work.
