    Central Elementary School Teacher Receives Grant

    (Carrollton, Ga. – January 27, 2016) Mary Mallory, a Central Elementary School art teacher, has been awarded $1000.00 through the Frigo Cheese Heads Build a Bright Future Program affiliated with the Saputo Corporation. The winning essay highlighted Ms. Mallory’s dedication to the students of CES and her passion for art education. She plans to purchase art supplies to enhance art instruction for the students with grant funds. In addition to the cash award, Central Elementary School was voted a Top 10 school in the Frigo Build a Bright Future Promotion.

    Six-time STAR teacher, Alice taught Advanced Placement English, literature, composition, speech and theater for over twenty years, part of which time she also served as Director of Admissions, Development, Public Relations, and Alumni at Oak Mountain Academy. She is the managing partner of Ridley-Teal Properties and content editor for the City Menus. She is a board member of the Carroll Symphony Orchestra and enjoys playing flute with the Carroll Community Wind Ensemble.
