Good news for fans of Latin caribbean cuisine: Pollo Tropical is opening a new location in Hiram off Highway 278. This will be located at the spot where the building that housed Movie Stop and long-gone Blockbuster Video were located. That building has been torn down to make way for the new building. Signs are up, and construction has started on the location, though no specific opening date is known yet. Pollo Tropical is greatly expanding its presence in Georgia over the next few years, with new locations opening in Austell and Newnan in addition to the Hiram store. At the current pacing of expansion it’s likely Douglasville will see a location open here before too long. We’ll keep you posted on the opening of the Hiram location and let you know in the future if Douglasville is on tap to get a location as well.
