Back in February we reported in our remodels story about two new restaurants on the list from the city awaiting construction. Little Caesars as we reported last week now has a location, and they are working on their new home off Hwy 5. The 2nd was a Caribbean establishment chain called Golden Krust that specializes in Jamaican beef patties (which you can currently find only at select area stores). We now have their new location. It will be in the Bruster’s shopping strip on Douglas Boulevard. Many people know this as the site where Sicilian Pizza Buffet was although it was only open a short time. Golden Krust will take over the spot and bring some life to the plaza that began as just a Bruster’s Ice Cream and expanded to include 3 other stores. Construction has begun, so look for an opening date soon. Golden Krust also has locations in Kennesaw, Morrow, Snellville, Stone Mountain and Decatur. Welcome to Douglasville, Golden Krust!
