From Scars To Stars, Hope for The Journey 8th Annual Luncheon In Pink

Rosie and group

On October 9th, 2008, Volunteer Gail Walker was diagnosed with breast cancer. Now a few words from her, I remember clearly what came to my mind: “All is well.’’ I had to really look beyond the problem and believe what I felt in my spirit that God was with me. After four months of treatments I was cancer free. I met Rosie Holley, founder and president of Hope for the Journey. I was moved by the foundation’s vision and started attending the support group. On December 19, 2011, I was diagnosed a second time with breast cancer. H4TJ  helped a lot during both encounters with breast cancer. They not only provided counseling for my peace of mind but encouragement for the soul and friends to lean on. H4TJ also helped financially with some bills I needed assistance with.  I’m now equipped with knowledge to help others. Since becoming part of Hope for the Journey, I’ve recruited others to join the fight.

Join Hope for the Journey on October 1st at Mill Town Music Hall for their 8th Annual Luncheon In Pink. This is a fundraiser for Hope for the Journey, a 501C3 non-profit organization that wishes to give hope to those suffering from breast cancer by providing financial assistance, counseling with spiritual support, and insightful knowledge through their support groups and programming. Hope for the Journey strives to empower those women that have and continue to fight against breast cancer. Special Speaker Dr. Kevin Burton, M.D. will host the event along with music from 1201 Entertainment. The event starts at 12:30PM and ends around 3:30PM.
