Roopville Elementary School Gifted/Quest teacher Jennifer Carroll is the recipient of the National Agriculture in the Classroom-CHS Foundation Classroom grant.

“The judges were sincerely impressed by your innovative ideas, the number of students you are planning to reach, and the support of your administration and local partners. The award is well deserved,” stated Katie Bigness, Teacher Awards Committee Co-Chair of the organization.

Mrs. Carroll has partnered with the Central High School Agricultural department to begin implementing STEM agricultural practices in Pre-K through 5th grades at Roopville Elementary School. This grant will help fund the project Ag in the Classroom.

Mrs. Carroll holds a Specialist’s degree and multiple certifications in Early Childhood and Middle Grades education. She is in her nineteenth year teaching; fifteen of those years she has spent at Roopville Elementary School.
