“Clearly”- New Program on DCTV23

(Last Updated On: December 21, 2017)

Clearly’ is an adverb that means ‘in a clear, distinct, or obvious manner’ or ‘evidently’, according to the Collins English Dictionary.

‘Clearly’ is also the title of the new program on dctv23 hosted by Douglas County Commission Chairman Dr. Romona Jackson Jones. It airs at 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily, and is filmed monthly.

The first episode, which began airing March 13th, is an in-studio interview with Planning and Zoning Director Tracy Rye and Planning and Zoning Board Chairman Larry Lewallen to shed light on why Planning and Zoning is so important to the County and to the property rights of citizens. The episode goes in depth on zoning applications and the required review process that is designed to identify all risks to all affected persons.

Chairman Dr. Jones wanted her television program to more ‘clearly’ explain the functions and people of Douglas County government and associated agencies so that Douglas County residents would better understand how to interact with and gain benefit from local government. Upcoming shows will feature a ride-along with Code Enforcement to see and show residents what they do; an interview with Human Resources on how to apply for a job with the County; a tour of County libraries; and lots more.

The program is produced and directed by Wes Tallon, Director of Communications and Community Relations. ‘Clearly’ is available on demand from www.dctv23.com. dctv23 is the Douglas County government television channel and airs on Comcast channel 23 and AT&T U-verse channel 99 with simulcast on www.CelebrateDouglasCounty.com.
