EdFest 2017 Igniting Passion Motivation and Innovation

“In honor of all of the remarkable teachers and leaders serving students and communities across the West Georgia area, West Georgia RESA and Dr. Mark Wilson are hosting the second annual EdFest, a FREE event to celebrate the joys of teaching. All teachers are invited to attend this fun and motivational day designed to kick off the 2017-2018 school year in style.  We’re calling it a Red Carpet event to reflect the celebrity treatment we hope to show our teachers, but the dress is actually work casual, ” writes a representative of West Georgia RESA.
Teacher guests will enjoy door prizes, gift cards, gift bags, t-shirts, FREE Chick-Fil-A lunch and more! Educational vendors will be on site to demonstrate innovative products and services. Presentations will include a focus on motivating students, teaching with passion and service, triumphing over struggles, and finding joy in the journey.
EdFest will be held on Saturday, July 29th, 2017 from 9:00am to 2:00pm at the Carroll County Performing Arts Center on Old Newnan Road.
West Georgia RESA has partnered with Dr. Mark Wilson, 2009 National Principal of the Year, to bring this event to our teachers,” said Executive Director Rachel Spates. “We proudly acknowledge that our region has some of the highest performing schools and hardest working teachers in the state, and we want to show how much we appreciate their dedication.”
