Buchanan Intersection to Receive Improvements

A major Haralson County intersection will soon receive some much-needed improvements. The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is slated to begin work next month on adding 125-foot left-turn lanes to Georgia Highway 120 to allow improved traffic flow to US Highway 27 north and south. According to plans we have obtained, the intersection improvements will also include new signage, signaling, and pedestrian crosswalks. Most of the construction should be limited to Georgia Highway 120 with limited impact to US Highway 27.
