Improvements Coming Soon to Local Intersection

Some much anticipated relief is coming to one local intersection soon. Construction is slated to begin next month on the intersection of Hays Mill Road and the Carrollton Bypass/Georgia Highway 166. According to plans from the Georgia Department of Transportation, improvements include dedicated left and right turn lanes off both sides of Hays Mill Road, pedestrian crosswalk installation, and a dedicated left turn signal for those looking to turn from the Greenway side of Hays Mill onto the eastbound lanes of the bypass heading towards US Highway 27. Construction is expected to last about 10 months, completing in June 2018.
