An east Alabama fast-food restaurant has reopened after a fire destroyed it over a year ago. The Wendy’s on Leon Smith Parkway/US Highway 431 just north of I-20 in Oxford has been rebuilt utilizing the restaurant’s new layout and aesthetics. The fire in the original building, which happened on November 28, 2016, reportedly was due to a short in an external sign on the restaurant.
