    Winter Weather Possible Monday Morning

    From Carroll County EMA

    UPDATE January 7, 2018 8 p.m.

The National Weather Service (NWS) held a Special Weather Briefing this evening in reference to the potential for Sleet and Freezing Rain for our area early Monday morning.

A Winter Weather Advisory for Carroll County has been issued for 5 a.m. until 12 p.m. tomorrow morning (Jan 8th).

Forecasters say that any freezing rain will create a glaze on roadways, leading to hazardous travel conditions. Carrollton City Schools, Carroll County Schools, Coweta County Schools, and Bremen City Schools have announced that they will be closed tomorrow.

“People need to pay attention to some type of media and be informed on what’s going on,” said Tim. “We will see some icy conditions on roadways. Use caution if you have to drive.”
