Tanner Hosting Career Expo Jan. 29 in Carrollton

It’s a new year — thinking about a new career?

Leadership representatives from throughout the health system will be on hand to meet with prospective career candidates and collect resumes during a Tanner Career Expo on Monday, Jan. 29, from 4 to 6 p.m. The expo will be held in Classroom 2 of the Health Education and Wellness Learning Center at Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton, 705 Dixie Street.

“This is a great chance for people to network, meet our organizational leadership and learn about the careers — clinical and non-clinical alike — that are available at Tanner,” said Shari Gainey, director of human resources for the health system.

Those looking to jump-start their careers can meet with leaders from nursing, behavioral health, rehabilitation services, medical practices and more, along with leaders from accounting, engineering, environmental services, food and nutrition services, registration services, security and safety and more.

“It takes a wide variety of skillsets to keep the health system running, and we have opportunities throughout our organization for the right candidates,” said Gainey. “Even people who haven’t thought their skills lend to health care can be surprised at how well they fit in here.”

Tanner has been recognized as one of the top 10 extra large employers in metro Atlanta by the Atlanta Business Chronicle and as one of Modern Healthcare’s Best Places to Work in Healthcare for 2017. The health system offers a competitive array of benefits in an inclusive, service-focused culture. With more than 3,000 employees, Tanner is one of the largest employers in the region.

Career candidates interested in attending are asked to send their name and email address to [email protected]. Candidates also should bring current copies of their resume with them to the event.

For more information, call [email protected]. Current openings available at the health system can be found online at www.TannerCareers.org.
