Douglasville Hidden Gem Set to Close Next Week

Known for their sandwiches and baked goods, including their famous Sweet Potato Cheesecake, Eva’s Bakeshop will close after nine years of business, according to a post on their Facebook page.

“We are extremely grateful to all who have supported us and we hope to see you all again before closing,” said the January 6 post.

Located at 6880 Douglas Boulevard, the shop will close on January 18. One of the main reasons behind the close is the search for a new location, although the search has yet to begin.

“I’m simply taking a step back to regroup and rebrand,” explained owner Eva Brisargh. “I’m looking for a more visible location with better foot traffic.”

When asked what she will miss the most, Brisargh explained that she would miss the customers. “I am very grateful for every customer that has walked through my door over these last nine years. In some ways they are like family to me.”

Eva’s Bakeshop will continue to take custom cake and dessert orders leading up to January 18. For any questions regarding orders after January 18, you can call (678)453-8197.
