Carrollton Elementary Kindergarten Registration Under Way

CARROLLTON, GA – Carrollton Elementary School has begun the kindergarten registration process for the 2018-2019 school year. To make an appointment, please call the registrar’s office at 770-832-2726.

Documents required for kindergarten registration include: A copy of the child’s birth certificate; DHR immunization form 3231; DHR vision, hearing and dental form 3300; the child’s Social Security card; parent photo identification; and proof of residency. Acceptable items to prove residency include water, gas and electric bills and original lease agreements – copies will not be accepted. Utility bills or lease agreements must be in the parents’ or legal guardians’ names with address. Also, utility bills must be dated within the last month. Students must be 5 years old by September 1, 2018 in order to register for kindergarten.

Students who do not live in the Carrollton city limits also are eligible to register. Non-residents go through an application process at registration and are required to pay a tuition fee as follows: $200 for one child, $350 for two children, and $450 for three or more children if accepted. Please complete the application posted on the school’s website (www.carrolltoncityschools.net) before attending your appointment.

Lottery tickets for pre-kindergarten registration for the 2018-2019 school year will be issued March 19-23rd at Carrollton Elementary School. Documents required to receive a lottery ticket include: parent photo identification, proof of residency, child’s birth certificate, and child’s social security card. The pre-kindergarten lottery drawing will be held the week of March 26th upon which parents will be notified of their status. Pre-kindergarten registration will be April 9-13th.
