Bremen’s Mill Town Music Hall is known for featuring some big-name music stars, but the Mill Town Mercantile is drawing attention from local shoppers as its “Made in America” clothing collections are becoming a hit.
Mill Town Music Hall is west Georgia’s largest concert and event venue, but its clothing store is also making a name for itself with high quality items.
In addition to clothing and accessories, Mill Town Mercantile features high-end clothing lines that are a testament to Bremen’s historic reputation as the clothing capital of the United States.
“Bremen was once the clothing center of the South,” said Steve Bennett, General Manager of Milltown Music Hall. “This was before the passage of NAFTA in the 90s. About five years ago, our owner decided that we wanted to offer a store that featured only items made in the United States.”
Bennett says that the theme behind all of Mill Town Mercantile’s clothing inventory is to highlight the American working spirit.
“We want to stand shoulder to shoulder with the American worker,” says Bennett. “We have partnered with music legends like The Gatlin Brothers and The Oak Ridge Boys to get our message out.”
The store sells items made by Threads Custom Tailoring, which carries a wide variety of unique, custom-made garments from exotic skins and finely spun American-grown fibers. The store also features John Philbeck Custom Dress Shirts, Diamond Gusset Jeans, and the Liberty Legends USA’s Richie Bland Collection.
The store is in its third year and is prominently featured inside Mill Town Music Hall. Shoppers can find suits, blazers, vests, jeans, custom dress shirts, t-shirts, caps, and many other items and accessories. The store carries some of the rarest custom dress items in the area with things like cashmere blazers and ostrich vests.
Stop by and visit the store during normal business hours Monday through Friday at 1031 Alabama Avenue in Bremen or call 770-537-6455.
