Heflin, AL – Heflin, AL, is soon to be home to Southern Immediate Care, a locally owned urgent care and primary care clinic located in Anniston and Attala. The City of Heflin Industrial Development Board is proud to announce the purchase of the Arcon Building, soon to be known as the Sterling Building, by Dr. Jason Junkins, owner of Southern Immediate Care.

“We have been looking at Heflin for some time and working with the City to see what we could put together to serve the people in this area. Being originally from a small town, Centre, I love working in rural areas like HefIin and I have no doubt that this will possibly be our busiest location,” says Jason.

Jason Junkins, MD, FACP received a bachelor of science in Biology from Jacksonville State University in 1991. He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1997, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine & ; Pediatrics at the University of South Alabama Medical Center in 2001.

“I feel like Jason and his team are already a part of our community, said Mayor Rudy Rooks. We have spent some time getting to know him and are excited to see him open. An urgent care is an urgent need here. The City is committed to supporting this development and making it as easy as possible to do business here.”

Heflin’s Southern Immediate Care looks to open in the Fall of 2018, will be operationally seven days a week from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m., and will employ approximately fifteen professionals.
