Vintage decor always adds a bit of character to any home, bedroom, or office. One of the most popular recent trends in clothing and home decor is going vintage—from cool clothing items to unique furniture and other decor.

Feathers and Twigs is Carrollton’s one-stop-shop for everything vintage. Becky Hill took over as new owner of Feathers and Twigs more than a year ago. She says the store has something that would suit any room or home.

“Feathers and Twigs has something for the college dorm room, something for a first time home buyer, great items for the serious pursuer of antiques, as well as that eclectic piece to make a statement in the most fashionable of homes,” says Becky. “We take pride in our wonderful selection of home décor – something for everyone.”

Feathers and Twigs is located at 506 Maple Street, and the store recently expanded into the old Fabric Peddler space in March of this year. Becky says she expanded the store in order to provide additional choices for her customers.

“In addition to our amazing collection of furniture and smaller décor items, we now can offer even more choices in many styles and finishes,” says Becky. “Feathers and Twigs is located in a huge, old historical building full of antiques, vintage, primitive, retro, and repurposed furniture, home and garden décor, locally made pottery, soaps, jams, and jellies.”

Becky says Feathers and Twigs also carries a large assortment of vintage clothing items.

We also carry a large selection of carefully chosen vintage clothing,” says Becky. “We have regular vendors who continuously bring in these items so our product is ever-changing. Vendors keep us chock full of cool, unique, and attractive pieces with a great variety.”

Much like traditional antique malls, the store also offers booth space which people can rent and sell their own vintage and antique items.

“We offer booth space for rent and each booth is maintained by the individuals who have rented the space,” says Becky. “Currently, all spaces are fully rented, and we have a waiting list. The booths have allowed us to open up more varieties of décor with lots of seasonal and trendy items like you would see on Pinterest, as well as cool vintage clothing, primitives, English antiques, Persian rugs – the list goes on!”

Becky says she hopes shoppers in the Carrollton area stop by Feathers and Twigs to see the new and improved store and clothing selection.

“We hope people who have not yet been, or haven’t been since the new ownership a little over a year and a half ago, will come by and take a look around – we feel you will be amazed,” says Becky. “We have lots to see in a cool old building and feel certain we will prove to be a fun experience. And we want to thank all our many existing and loyal customers, and appreciate all the love you show us. Shopping local is important in a community like ours, and we hope you give us a chance before going to the big box stores.”
