Newnan’s Greenville Station Nears Completion

A new strip mall in the southern area of Newnan is currently under construction and could be completed within the coming months. The mall will likely be named Greenville Station, according to property manager Reza Kaba, who is overseeing parts of the development.

Construction began on the project, located at 226 Greenville Street, last October. Kaba said progress on the development was slowed by rainy weather in March and April, but he expects work crews to make more progress toward completing the project in the coming months.

“We are shooting for a completion date around December,” said Kaba. “If the weather cooperates and doesn’t slow us down, it should be done by then and we can start having some tenants fill the spaces.”

Kaba says the strip mall will feature eight or nine different spaces for tenants, and two or three spaces for restaurants.

“There’s currently a quick-serve Mexican restaurant looking at one of the locations, and there could also be a franchise pizza place in another of the restaurant spaces,” said Kaba. “There’s also a space that would accommodate a tire change and auto shop.”

Kaba says crews are currently completing portions of the building’s exterior with stucco and stone and brick work.

“We’re looking forward to having it completed and seeing some tenants fill the spaces,” said Kaba.
