On October 6th, 2018, Brown Dog Eatery will celebrate two years in Carrollton. Brown Dog Eatery has helped shape Downtown Carrollton as a destination with several accolades. The website www.OnlyinYourState.com featured Brown Dog Eatery as the #1 Georgia restaurant you should add to your 2018 Bucket List.

Rich Weaver, owner of Brown Dog Eatery, tells us, “The uniqueness in the menu make us stand out among the rest; we offer a very comfortable vibe, unmatched cocktails, creativeness with drinks; and the majority of our food is purchased locally and made fresh daily.”

Some of the most popular dishes they offer are the Southern Sin Dip, Collards, Geechie Boy Grits, wild-caught Chilean salmon, and the wood-fire CAB hand-pattied burgers. Rich goes on to say, “The menu changes every three to four months, so items that sell well stay on the menu as customer favorites! Our consistency is the foundation of this restaurant and has not changed since day one.”

Restaurant patron Andrew Lynn agreed, “I echo Rich’s comment. I look for consistency in the food whenever I go somewhere to eat, and it truly has stayed the same since day one.”

The energy of Brown Dog Eatery is right in line with an industrial atmosphere such as Ponce City Market’s in Atlanta. Edison bulbs and exposed wood enhance the restaurant that sits inside an old cotton mill that was beautifully restored. Hudson Mill serves as the location for Brown Dog Eatery along with several other businesses.

Marshall Stone, bar manager, tells The City Menus, “The Vibe here at Brown Dog is the most inviting atmosphere on the Square. Atmosphere is key to enjoying food and drink. This is a place where concept goes with conversation: imagine, be different, be bizarre.”

Mixed Berry Cheese Cake”. This fall ready cocktail is a mixture of a ton of bold and beautiful flavors including O4W Vodka, 3 Sheets Spiced Rum, Rumchata, Chambord, Pama, Combier liqueur de mûre, puréed blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, a mixture of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and brown sugar, and blended with heavy cream.

Brown Dog Eatery features cocktails which allow Marshall to be creative. Their specialty cocktail menu has a unique variety of locally-sourced fruit, muddled (fruit crushed with ice in the glass) to perfection.

Leading up to Brown Dog Eatery’s Second Anniversary, October 6th, Brown Dog Eatery will be highlighting some of their previous menu items; so you certainly do not want to miss that!

Now for a direct message from Brown Dog Eatery owners Stephanie Lister and Rich Weaver, along with bar manager Marshall Stone:

“Two years ago we set out to create more than just another restaurant. Our goal was to introduce Carrollton to a menu comprised of unique and fresh ingredients that put a new spin on southern cuisine, pair those meals with a craft cocktail bar menu, and then provide an atmosphere that is laid back and enjoyable for you to gather with family and friends. All this would not have been possible without our incredible patrons and our beloved community. Here we are two years later, and we thank everyone who has come through our doors to experience, enjoy, and share our vision that we call Brown Dog Eatery. We look forward to many years to come with an ambitious drive to keep raising the standard of how southern food should be.”
