The City of LaGrange is honoring Debbie Costley, lead customer service representative, for her dedicated 25 years of service.

Costley received her 25-year service pin at the LaGrange City Council meeting Tuesday (1/8) night.

Costley began her career as a cashier in 1993 and was promoted to her current position due to her great knowledge and excellent skills she displayed while working in the department. Her responsibilities include coordinating the work of the customer service representatives, assisting with daily balancing issues, and ensuring customer needs are met when they come into the office.

“The Customer Service area runs much more efficiently with decreased errors and higher moral due to Debbie’s leadership,” said Customer Service Manager Barry Johnson.

“She is always willing to help with any issues her co-workers may have and displays a positive attitude to everyone she meets. Debbie is one of our most productive and dependable employees.”

Costley has not used a sick day in more than six years.

“I work with a great group of people and that makes my job enjoyable,” said Costley.

“I hope to be working with the City of LaGrange for many more years to come.”
