Central Middle School Students Make the 2015 GMEA District 7 Honor Band

(Carrollton, Ga. – December 15, 2014) The GMEA District 7 Honor Band auditions took place in Cartersville, GA. The event was made up of over 1,200 students from schools as far south as Haralson County and as far north as Ringgold, all competing for only 220 available spots. Central Middle School had 30 students make it into the 2015 GMEA District 7 Honor Band, the highest number in the district. Of these 30 students, 17 of them scored high enough to make it to the final round of All-State Band auditions which will take place in January.

Six-time STAR teacher, Alice taught Advanced Placement English, literature, composition, speech and theater for over twenty years, part of which time she also served as Director of Admissions, Development, Public Relations, and Alumni at Oak Mountain Academy.
