This Weekend is full of Fun Activities in Downtown Douglasville

This weekend will see a packed list of events happening in Downtown Douglasville. Starting this Friday, October 21st, you can visit the next installment of Hot Rods on Main Street, an event where you can take a look at great classic, muscle, and high performance cars. The event begins at 5:00 p.m. on Church Street between Price and Bowden Streets.

Saturday, October 22nd, is a big day for fall events downtown. We have the 20th Annual Chili Cook off presented to you by the Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County. Come taste some great chilis made by local residents. The cookoff lasts from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. In addition to great chili, watch the Gravity Games will happen from 9am – 2pm. Bring the kids for a Halloween costume contest and–an extra bonus–the adult costume contest which will be held right after it. The final portion of the evening will feature the annual Rogue Runners Moonlight Run around Downtown Douglasville. Work off that Chili or cheer on your favorite runner.

A great family event for the downtown area this weekend, it is the fall answer to Taste of Douglasville held in May. As with Taste of Douglasville, all proceeds will benefit the Cultural Arts Council which hosts great events all year. Hope to see you there!
