Educators Tour Local Industry to Promote Manufacturing as a Career Path

CARROLLTON, GA – Local educators from Carrollton City Schools, Carroll County Schools, West Georgia Technical College, University of West Georgia, and Oak Mountain Academy participated in the annual Manufacturing Day tour sponsored by the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce/Carroll Tomorrow. Universal Cold Storage, Prinkpack and Southwire Energy Center hosted the group to provide a first-hand look at today’s manufacturing environment. A panel discussion wrapped up the event with participants from West Georgia Technical College, Universal Cold Storage, Southwire and the Georgia Tech Enterprise Innovation Institute providing advice to the educators on marketing the manufacturing career pathway to both students and parents.
