New Candy, Ice Cream Shop Coming to Douglasville

A new candy store and ice cream shop is planned to open in Douglasville next to The Farmers Table. The new store will be located adjacent to The Farmers Table at 3670 Highway 5 in Douglasville.

“It’s in the opening stages, and we haven’t decided on a name for the business yet, but we are very excited about opening and being able to provide the people of the Douglasville community with a place like this,” said Susan Henderson, owner.

Henderson said the shop will have roll-up ice cream—a new trend in ice cream dining shops across the country.

“Roll-up ice cream is a really fun, new way to do ice cream that’s becoming really popular,” said Henderson.

She noted that the new business also plans to offer a chocolate bar and various types of candy and other sweet treats. The candy and ice cream shop will also have inside seating, as well as a party room that will be available for event rentals.

“We hope to open sometime in the spring,” said Henderson. “It’s just a short walk from The Farmers Table, so we hope everyone who likes to visit our store will go check it out.”
