Newnan Sailor Stands Watch as Flight Quarters Corpsman Aboard the Guided Missile Destroyer

Hospital Corpsman Third Class Marci Seymore, a graduate of East Coweta High School in Newnan, Georgia, stands watch as flight quarters corpsman aboard the guided missile destroyer USS The Sullivans (DDG 68). The Sullivans, an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer, deployed from Mayport Naval Station on May 26th for a U.S. 6th and 5th Fleet deployment. Since arriving in 5th Fleet, The Sullivans has conducted naval operations and freedom of navigation transits through strategic choke points to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central region.
