A national furniture store brand has plans to open a location in Douglasville. Ashley Furniture HomeStore has submitted plans to move into the old Babies R Us at the Douglasville Marketplace shopping mall.
Plans for the 30,000-square-foot facility call for minor demolition including renovation of the building exterior to match the company’s look and branding.
According to Ashley Furniture’s website, the new store, located at 6875 Douglas Boulevard and next to Best Buy, will be their 25th store in Georgia. The company has eleven other stores in the metro Atlanta area, including Alpharetta, Buford, Cumming, Kennesaw, LaGrange, Lithonia, Marietta, McDonough, Morrow, Newnan, and Snellville. In addition, there is another location just across the state line in Anniston, Alabama.
