Burger King to Build in Former Location on Fairburn Road

Fast-food chain Burger King is set to rise from the grounds of its former location at 5700 Fairburn Road in Douglasville. Bids are currently underway for the construction of a 2,765- square-foot restaurant. Construction is slated to begin in June 2019.

A spokesperson for the company stated, “We hope to open early this Fall.”

Burger King is one of the world’s most famous burger restaurant chains and currently has more than 15,000 locations throughout the world. The company is based in Miami, Florida, and was originally founded as Insta-Burger King in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1953.
