Graduation ceremonies for Carroll County’s five high schools have been postponed from their previously scheduled dates in May and are now tentatively scheduled for the month of June. The decision to move the dates was based on recommended social distancing guidance from state public health agencies.

Carroll County School System’s Tentative Graduation Dates are as follows:

·        Bowdon High School, June 25

·        Central High School, June 20

·        Mt. Zion High School, June 26

·        Temple High School, June 20

·        Villa Rica High School, June 20

“We are continuing to follow social distancing guidelines and to monitor public health data to ensure that the safety and well-being of our students and their families remain our top priority,” said Scott Cowart, Superintendent of Carroll County School System. “If social distancing restrictions remain in place in June, we have contingency plans for alternate dates, if necessary. We recognize that these uncertain times present challenges for our Seniors and their families in planning celebrations. Our high school administrators have worked diligently to prepare for events that will give our Seniors the recognition they deserve.”
