2020 may not be the year we had all hoped for, but at least we are getting our very own lululemon in Peachtree City… for now. The new store, which The Avenue Peachtree City officially confirmed via their Facebook page Thursday, is coming later this fall to the popular lifestyle center. Lululemon will set up shop in the old Justice store, a roughly 4,000 square-foot space between American Eagle Outfitters and Yankee Candle. We say “for now” because as for now the store will be a “seasonal” pop-up, with the local sales and interest in the brand determining whether or not the company commits to a permanent store in the center.
The Peachtree City seasonal shop is one of five pop-up shops the Canadian-based company is opening in Georgia this fall. In metro Atlanta, lululemon has already opened seasonal shops at Mall of Georgia in Buford, Forum on Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree Corners, and Avenue East Cobb in Marietta. The company also opened a seasonal shop at The Shoppes at River Crossing, another outdoor lifestyle center.
For those unfamiliar with the brand, lululemon is a yoga and athletic apparel company based in Vancouver, Canada. The company makes apparel and accessories for men and women.
There are currently five lululemon stores in Atlanta including those at the Shops Around Lenox in Buckhead, Westside Provisions on the Westside, Ponce City Market, Avalon in Alpharetta, and Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody.
In addition, lululemon operates a showroom in Athens, a store on Broughton Street in Savannah, and an outlet at the North Georgia Premium Outlets in Dawsonville.
A rep for The Avenue Peachtree City tells The City Menus that the new lululemon shop should be open by early December.
