Two Local State Highways to Undergo Resurfacing

Contracts have been awarded to resurface two local state highways according to a Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) press release received by The City Menus last week. The first is Georgia Highway 166 Connector in Carrollton, otherwise known as Northside Drive and Linda Lane to locals. The entire 3.7-mile stretch between Georgia Highway 166 and US Highway 27/Georgia Highway 1 will be resurfaced. The other project is a portion of US Highway 27/ Georgia Highway 1 in Haralson County. That contract calls for approximately 6.7 miles of the highway to be resurfaced, although the exact location is unknown. Both projects are expected to be completed by January 31, 2022.
