Charlee Causey Earns Dairy Evaluation State Honors

(Last Updated On: March 22, 2022)

Central High School senior, Charlee Causey, earned the top score in the FFA Career Development Event
(CDE) of Dairy Cattle Evaluation and Management. The event helps students develop skills in dairy cattle selection
and herd management. Participants evaluate the cattle’s physical characteristics, explain their various classes and analyze a herd record as a team.

Teams of four (4) students develop skills in observation, analysis, communication and team communications through this
competitive CDE. Each participant contributes to the team’s total score through both team and individual
activities.

Charlee scored higher than any other competitor in the State of Georgia! As a result of this event, students gain a greater understanding of dairy cattle management and become knowledgeable in areas that include animal welfare, biosecurity, business management, current issues, environmental management and safety practices.

Congratulations to Charlee and the Central High School FFA organization! Central High School FFA Advisors and instructors are Ms. Nikhol Dysart and Mr. Stanley Clarke.
