Mackenzi Costley named Outstanding Graduate Student by UWG

Central High School science teacher Mackenzi Costley was honored by the University of West Georgia Department of
Early Childhood through Secondary Education as the Outstanding Graduate Student in Secondary Education. The award recognizes one student who represents superior achievement in the graduate Secondary Education program.

Mackenzi graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Georgia in May of 2021. She is currently working on her Master’s Degree in the Art of Teaching in Broad Field Science Education at the University of West Georgia. Ms. Costley teaches physical science and environmental science.

Linda has been a Carroll County Schools educator since 1995 and currently serves as Central High School’s Media Specialist. In addition, she is a certified fitness instructor with One Life Atlanta Fitness and teaches part-time with the University of West Georgia.
