Pending rezoning request approval from C-4 (Commercial Service District) to C-3 (Commercial Retail District) a proposed Popeyes could be coming to Poplar Road. The specific location would be directly across from the new Burger King at 869 Poplar Road. A hearing is scheduled for May 17 in Coweta County.
Currently Popeyes is working on a project in Peachtree City near the Sprouts, construction there started a few weeks ago with the demolition of a former Bruster’s Ice Cream.
Popeyes is one of the most popular fried chicken fast-food chains in the country. The restaurant chain was founded in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1972 and has since flourished into more than 2,600 restaurants in 40 states.
