Marc Broussard Performs at the Carrollton Amphitheatre Saturday, June 4

On June 4th, internationally acclaimed recording artist Marc Broussard will perform at the Carrollton Amphitheatre to celebrate the 50th anniversary of one of our region’s most respected providers of construction services. The event will highlight fundraising to expand neurology care in our community.

Started in 1972 by Ray Fulford, and his wife Linda, RA-LIN has constructed milestone projects in our region’s growth for five decades. Projects have included corporate, cultural, civic, medical, education, athletic and industrial buildings for Tanner Health System, University of West Georgia, Southwire Company and other notable organizations.

Mt. Zion High School in Georgia was one of the company’s early breakthrough projects, and through the years, RA-LIN has completed more school buildings in Georgia than any other contractor in the state.

RA-LIN’s 50th anniversary will be commemorated with a free concert featuring Marc Broussard and a local opening act – Deni Phoenix and the Fervor. The event is in partnership with Fulford and Friends, Tanner Medical Foundation and The City of Carrollton. 100% of the proceeds from sponsorships and donations will benefit the James R. Fulford Endowed Chair of Neurology at Tanner Foundation.

The endowment was established in 2018 by RA-LIN founders, Ray and Linda Fulford. Inspired by their personal experience after Ray was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2012 and Bulbar Onset ALS in 2019, their vision was to ensure that others needing neurology care could find it in our community.

A nationwide shortage of neurologists causes many patients to travel hours or wait months to receive neurology care. The Fulford family learned that the trips back and forth to appointments in Atlanta were exhausting and stressful during an already stressful time.

The James R. Fulford Endowed Chair of Neurology at Tanner Foundation will accelerate Tanner Health System’s neurology program by years, if not decades through physician recruitment, program development and expanded care. The Fulford family’s story, along with many others, can be found at www.FulfordandFriends.org.

After a pause in fundraising due to the pandemic, today more than $1 million has been raised toward the goal of $1.5 million to complete the fund.
