Looking for a fine dining experience but don’t want to drive 50 miles? Carrollton has its own personal chef, willing to whip up meals right in your kitchen. Chef Rose who has been in the heart of the cooking business for over 10 years is offering menu packages from date night dinners, meal preparation, and cooking lessons, to even baby food preparation. She says, “I really want to reach anybody and everybody that feels like they would need the service… so new moms, couples wanting a date” and people looking to improve their cooking skills.

Chef Rose gets her food from local grocery stores and will get your food fresh on the day of service. She brings her own equipment including pots and pans, plates, and a disposable table cloth. Also included in her packages are first-class service and clean-up. She mentions that as the client, all you need to worry about is “enjoying a great meal.” For the cooking lessons, the client can pick one of her menu items off her website, and she will come into your home and walk you through the recipe. This instruction includes lessons on food safety and properly handling a knife. It’s about “helping people learn as well as giving them a good food experience,” says Chef Rose. For the baby food packages Chef Rose will come in, cook the ingredients, puree them, and then ration them out into easy-access ice cube trays to make them ready for the freezer. The puree is ready to be popped out of the freezer and heated up when your baby is hungry.

As to where she will travel Chef Rose says, “Eventually I’d like to expand out, but really anything in Carroll County is in that wheelhouse right now.” She adds, “I am just looking forward to getting out and teaching people things and providing food experiences.  I’m just looking forward to getting started.”

Chef Rose, a graduate of the West Georgia Technical College Culinary program, has worked in restaurants including La Trattoria on the Square over 10 years ago, but for the past nine years, she has worked as a chef at Kroger. She is a featured chef of West Georgia Woman magazine.
