Located in the Tri County Plaza in Villa Rica, Victory Thrift Store is not your typical thrift store.

With two locations, one in Villa Rica and one in Dallas, the stores feature a variety of items such as furniture, clothes, shoes, books, jewelry, and more. The proceeds from the store help support a much bigger cause—a cause called Victory Valley Rescue Ranch.

Victory Valley Rescue Ranch (VVRR) is a non-profit, faith-centered, addiction recovery home founded by Jason Crowe, a recovering addict and the director of the Reformers Unanimous (RU) addictions program at Happy Valley Baptist Church in Villa Rica. The 12-month residential program was designed to help women regain control of their lives after battling addiction.

While they were heading up the RU program, the need for a residential program became increasingly apparent to both Jason and his wife Daphne. Although they had originally planned a men’s home, it was evident to them that a women’s home was needed. Since opening their doors back in April 2015, Victory Valley Rescue Ranch has helped numerous women reclaim their lives from addiction.

At no charge, VVRR houses five women at a time. Supported by the proceeds from both thrift stores and some individual donations, VVRR houses five women at a time at no charge. They attend therapy each morning and work the store in the afternoons. House Director Michelle Boatright lives with the women.

In addition to having assistance in building a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, each woman learns necessary skills for when she returns to the community. VVRR also helps the women with DFACS case plans and obtaining a GED if needed, as well as provides them ASAM Level 2.1 addictions treatment through Recovery Unlimited in Douglasville.

Victory Thrift Store is located next to Family Dollar at 451 West Bankhead Highway. For more information on Victory Thrift Store, you can check out their Facebook page. For more information on Victory Valley Rescue Ranch, you can visit their website.
