Event Details

Join the Newnan Carnegie Library and the Newnan Carnegie Library Foundation March 22nd at 12:00 pm for another exciting free lunchtime program. Bring a lunch with you as we welcome Dr. Hendry Miller, the Collections Manager at the Georgia Archives. He will examine some of Georgia’s history with Native peoples—from the establishment of the Georgia Colony through the first few decades of the 1800s in a multimedia presentation. Even if you know the history of our state well, you will learn a great deal that will enrich your understanding of our state’s Native Americans. The doors will open at 11:30am and the program begins promptly at 12:00pm and ends at 1:00pm.

“The Lunch and Learn programs have been so interesting, with the opportunity to learn and engage or be entertained with amazing guest presenters and performers. This particular event will be so fascinating to explore about our own state’s history.  I am really looking forward to this one.” says Jessica Dunnington, the Newnan Carnegie Library Program Associate.

Online registration is required for this event, so please visit the Newnan Carnegie Library website calendar page to sign up.
