Central High School is proud to announce its 2025 American Legion Boys State representatives: Griffin Bass, Jake Brown, and Devin Crews. These outstanding students were selected to participate in the prestigious Georgia Boys State program, held June 8–14 at Valdosta State University.
Georgia Boys State, sponsored by the American Legion Department of Georgia, is a premier leadership and citizenship program that offers rising high school seniors a unique, hands-on experience in civic engagement. Over the course of a week, delegates build and govern a fictional 51st state, taking on roles in elections, legislation, law enforcement, and local government.
“This is an incredible opportunity for our students to explore how government functions from the inside out,” said a spokesperson for Central High School. “Griffin, Jake, and Devin are developing leadership skills, confidence, and a deeper understanding of civic responsibility that will benefit them—and our community—for years to come.”
The school extends its congratulations to these students and appreciation to the American Legion for providing this life-changing educational experience.
