The Evening Sertoma Club’s annual People’s Parade through downtown Carrollton kicks off the Fourth at 10 a.m. at Dairy Queen on US Highway 27, turning onto Alabama Street and making its way across Adamson Square to Newnan Street and Bankhead Highway.
The Fourth’s evening festivities will begin at 8:15 p.m. with the Carroll Symphony Orchestra’s Sounds of Liberty concert on the front lawn of Carrollton Elementary School and culminate with the city’s fireworks show at 9:35 p.m. The launch site for the fireworks show, presented by the City of Carrollton, is across Ben Scott Boulevard from the concert stage between the practice football field and the baseball field beside Carrollton Upper Elementary School.
For those who cannot attend the Sounds of Liberty concert in person, Gradick Communications’ radio stations KISS 102.7 FM and B92 Country will broadcast the concert live. Admission to each of these family-friendly events is free.
