Farewell to a Legacy, Hello to Royal Views: A New Chapter for the Home of Partners II Pizza

The following was taken from Partners II Pizza’s Facebook page:

For nearly five decades, Partners II Pizza at 215 Northlake Drive was more than a local restaurant—it was a community anchor, a second home, and the heart of countless cherished memories. Now, as the doors close for the final time at this beloved location, a new chapter is set to begin: one that honors the past while building toward an exciting future.

In the very footprint of the iconic Partners II Pizza, Royal Views will rise—a thoughtfully designed, luxurious mixed-use development featuring three-story condominiums above and vibrant local shops below. At the heart of it all? A brand-new Partners II Pizza, ready to welcome future generations with the same warmth, spirit, and unforgettable pizza that made the original location so special.

The transition comes with mixed emotions. Over the past week, the Royal family and Partners Pizza team have welcomed an outpouring of love as longtime customers, former employees, and dear friends stopped by to say goodbye. For 17,697 days, the restaurant served as a gathering place—a home for celebrations, reunions, and everyday comfort food that brought people together.

Photos from the final night captured the significance of the moment: loyal team members serving their last shift, customers savoring one last bite in the historic space, and the heartfelt scene of the final guest walking out the doors. It was a closing act filled with gratitude and reflection.

Through the years, Partners Pizza has been more than a business. It’s been a family. As the Royals shared in their farewell, they are deeply grateful to the many people who made the journey possible—those who worked tirelessly behind the scenes and those who supported the restaurant with unwavering loyalty.

Rebecca Royal Tate shared a moving tribute that encapsulates the emotional weight of this goodbye:

“Although the sign has changed over the years, the pizza has remained the same. It’s more than pizza. They say it’s just a building—but how do you thank the walls that help raise you? Partners Aberdeen wasn’t just the original location. It was my second home… To most, it was a pizza place. To me, it was family.”

Those heartfelt words resonate with many in the community. For countless patrons and staff, Partners Pizza wasn’t just about the food—it was a place where bonds were formed, lessons were learned, and memories were made.

But this is not the end—it’s a beginning.

While construction of Royal Views is set to begin in 2026, Partners Pizza will continue serving its loyal fans in the meantime. The restaurant will temporarily relocate to the lower level of Y-Knot Sports Bar while the new development takes shape. After a brief closure of 2–3 weeks for the transition, the pizza, the people, and the passion will be back in action—just in a new space.

The upcoming Royal Views development promises a stunning blend of modern living and timeless community charm. Featuring sweeping rooftop balconies, garage parking, and private elevators for each condo, the residences are designed with luxury and comfort in mind. And with Partners II Pizza anchoring the ground floor, the soul of the space will carry on.

To all who’ve been a part of the story—thank you. From the Royals to the regulars, from day-one employees to first-time guests—you’ve helped shape a legacy. And now, that legacy will live on in a new space built with the same care, love, and community spirit that defined the original.

Here’s to the next chapter, and to the generations of pizza lovers to come.
