Over the last few weeks several residents have asked me how they can know where an accident is or learn about why police activity was in their area. The Carrollton Police Department has partnered with Nixle and offers text or email alerts to provide you with quick information. The is from the Carrollton PD – If possible, we try and send major accidents through Nixle. You can got to www.nixle.com and register (free) to receive emergency notifications, street closings, etc. that we publish. These can be delivered to your email/text, whichever you set up. Also you can be a fan of the Carrollton Police Department on Facebook by clicking here. Unfortunately Carroll County PD does not offer this Nixle Service just the City.
