Haircuts came to a halt faster than you can say “Barbicide” at Great Styles in the Maple Street Commons. The location was cleaned out and there was no sign of anyone. It appears that they moved out quietly in the middle of the night and pulled the plugs on their buzzers sometime last week. I suspected something was up with the location when I saw numerous signs posted with deeply discounted prices on haircuts–in some cases $5.99 . It’s quite hard to stay in business when stylists are making commissions on $5.99 haircuts. That’s my opinion, anyway. Hopefully, something moves in this spot very quickly. With Food Lion vacating by February 15th, consumer traffic will be cut down considerably at Maple Street Commons.
