The Carrollton High School Academic Team’s competition against Buford High School on WSB-TV’s “High Q” program will air this Sunday, Dec. 10, at 1 p.m. on Channel 2. Michael Harvey, CHS’s instructional coordinator for Social Studies and the team’s coach, said while he can’t reveal the results of the Nov. 1 contest, viewers will be very proud of the team’s performance.
“This is one you will want to watch all the way through,” he said.
The team consists of sophomore Edward Bohannon, juniors Eva Hobson and Reese Lawrence and senior Amber Zheng. If the team wins this competition, it will advance to the next round and will face either the Lovett School or Eastside High School with that competition scheduled to air March 10.
“High-Q” is the long-running WSB-TV game show that tests Atlanta area high school students in the fields of history, math, literature, science, the arts and current events. WSB-TV’s Katie Walls hosts the show. Each week, two teams of four students representing different high schools face off against each other in the show. The winner advances to the next round.
